Furthermore, I have started a rewrite of the application on another development platform – hence, the validity period is set to 6 months from today, as I do not plan to do any updates (other than critical fixes if necessary) in the current form of the application.

Note: If you are using Mac OS X Mountain Lion and are having problems running the application, you need to allow applications not downloaded via the App Store. This is done in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy. In “Allow applications to be downloaded from”, choose “Anywhere.”
